Hospital Air Containment Testing

eZing is pleased to provide preliminary air containment testing for critical rooms in the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago through Mortenson Construction, CM, scheduled completion, 2012.

Chicago LCWEP Workshops

eZing assisted the Low Cost Weatherization Education Program of the Chicago Department of Environment with workshops and other tasks. See the LCWEP Manual that guides hands-on work and graphic guides that assist homeowners to select effective "next steps" to reduce energy usage.

AIA Conference Presentation

John Porterfield presented Architects and Energy Raters: In the Realm of Energy Best Practices, Chicago Chapter, AIA 2010 Professional Development Conference, September 16.

Providing Contractor Training

eZing has been selected to provide contractor training for an ARRA-funded expansion of the DOE weatherization program. Funded by DCEO and designed and managed by the Building Research Center at UIUC, three eZing staff will train contractors at the new DOE Weatherization Training Center at the Wilbur Wright campus of the City Colleges of Chicago.

RESNET training --> mentoring

eZing will continue training the carpenters, mentoring them through their probationary ratings as they seek to attain RESNET certification.

Training the Trainer

Jim has been selected for the solar installer “training of trainers” course and will attend the Midwest Renewable Energy Association's two-week training course in Custer, WI.

Energy Retrofit Results presentation

Cheryl presented "Energy Retrofit Results" at the Chicago Center for Green Technology in early June. In case you missed it, she will repeat the presentation there on October 5th and 6th at 8PM.

eZing gives RESNET training

eZing provided RESNET energy instruction to training staff of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters. Several of the staff have already undergone BPI training. Several eZing employees are also taking advantage of the opportunity to obtain RESNET instruction.

John has been invited to become a member of Home Energy magazine's advisory board! He recently met with several members of the board at ACI's home energy performance conference in Austin.

Past Event - Affordable Comfort Inc. Conference 2009

Travis Yutzy, Tom Reuter, Cheryl Pomeroy and John Porterfield attended four days of intensive learning at the Affordable Comfort Inc. Conference 2009 in Kansas City, gathering some 200 items to incorporate into eZing services. Handouts from Presentations at ACI 2009 are now online.
